In Microsoft Word, you can save your document in a variety of formats, such as .docx, .rtf, .txt, and .html. Why do programs give you a variety of ways to save your files? Choose 2 of the file formats provided by Microsoft Word and explain the differences between them. In what situations might you choose to use one instead of the other?

Programs offer many ways to save a file so that the format needed is available next time you need the file. We can save the file depending on the intended use of it. The *.html file format is in important for web site designers because it saves your work in a way that it can be uploaded to the web and then be read by internet users.


ADDED NOTE: This post is part of a school assignment. I wanted to see if it was actually possible to make a blog post from Office 2007. Not only is it possible,it was easy to do.

Great News~

I am gonna start classes at The Art Institute-Online Division on September 5th! I will be taking Interior Design Course.

I qualified for all of the financial aid AND there is enough money left over to buy a kick-ass computer! My poor puter is soooo tired, it can't handle the software I need for classes.

The Shack...by Wm. Paul Young~

I tend to read for enlightenment, although I do occasionally read just for the fun of it. As a child in need of escaping the world around me, I read voraciously. I devoured book after book after book.

This weekend I read a book recommended by my counselor: The Shack by Wm. Paul Young. What an incredible book it is! Mack, the main character, encounters God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit for a weekend that ultimately provides much needed healing, answers to many of his questions, and changes him for life.

My favorite line from the book? "Rights are where surviors go, so they won't have to work out relationships."

This book does not shove religion down the readers throat, in fact, it does quite the opposite.

Religious critics who bash this book have missed the message and attack the messenger. That is unfortunate, as their bashing may cause some hurting soul to miss the thrust and life changing information woven into the story.

This is a MUST-Read!
